The Airstream World Traveler 22RB offers a simpler, more approachable way to experience the open road. Designed as an entry point into the Airstream lifestyle, this 22-foot (6.7-meter) travel trailer pairs Airstream’s iconic aluminum construction with lightweight engineering that makes towing and travel feel easy and intuitive.

Built for travelers who value flexibility and simplicity, the World Traveler 22RB delivers thoughtful comfort and confident handling, free of the size or complexity of larger RVs.

Lightweight Design That Makes Travel Easier

The World Traveler 22RB is one of the most lightweight travel trailers in Airstream’s lineup. With a base weight of about 3,700 pounds (1,678 kilograms) and a maximum Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 4,500 lbs (2,040 kg), it can be towed by many light-duty trucks, crossovers, and SUVs.

Its narrow 7-foot, 6-inch (2,286-millimeter) exterior width improves maneuverability on city streets, winding roads, and in tight parking areas. Placing the air conditioner beneath the curbside bed preserves a smooth roofline, improves aerodynamics, and maintains Airstream’s clean, riveted aluminum silhouette.

A Smart Floor Plan With A Bright, Flexible Interior

At just over 22 ft long, the World Traveler 22RB offers a well-balanced interior that sleeps up to four while remaining easy to move through. The layout emphasizes open sightlines, efficient storage, and flexible use of space.

A V-shaped twin bed layout at the rear increases usable floor space and adds storage below. At the front, the dinette converts from a four-person dining area into a lounge or additional sleeping space for two. White aluminum walls, light laminate cabinetry, and terrazzo-inspired vinyl flooring create a bright, modern interior that feels open and inviting.

Large dual-pane acrylic windows open outward for fresh air and views, with integrated blackout blinds and insect screens for easy control of airflow and privacy.

    Everyday Comfort, Cooking & Convenience

The mid-ship galley supports everyday cooking with a wide countertop, sink, 2-burner LP gas cooktop, and a 12-volt refrigerator with freezer offering just over 4 cubic feet (113 liters) of cold storage. Optional upgrades include a microwave and a dinette drawer refrigerator.

A 3-piece dry bathroom separates the shower from the vanity and toilet, improving traffic flow while maintaining an efficient footprint. Comfort features include a ducted under-bench air conditioning system with 10,000 BTUs of cooling and a heat pump providing 11,600 BTUs of electric heat, along with a Truma Combi eco plus furnace and water heater.

Technology highlights include a JBL stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, a 24-in. smart TV, and available options such as a backup camera. Exterior features like a Zip-Dee awning, a pull-out aluminum entry step, and an exterior hot-and-cold shower add convenience at the campsite.

Optional Power Upgrades For Off-Grid Travel

For travelers who want added flexibility, optional power upgrades include a 300-watt solar charging system with an interior monitor and an available 2.5-kilowatt-hour heated lithium battery upgrade. These options allow travelers to stay out longer while remaining comfortable and self-sufficient.

A Simple Way to Start Your Airstream Journey

The Airstream World Traveler 22RB delivers lightweight towing, smart design, and timeless style in a manageable package. Its flexible floor plan and modern amenities make it an appealing choice for first-time Airstream owners or travelers looking to simplify their RV experience.
