Just in time for summer’s dog days, Bad Boy has announced the all-new Revolt X Stand-On zero-turn mower. Built from the ground up, it offers homeowners and lawn care professionals 54-, 61-, and 72-inch (137-, 155-, and 183-centimeter) deck width options. Operators can expect quicker response, better visibility, and outstanding maneuverability thanks to various upgrades, improved ergonomics, and a tighter frame.

    3 Engine Options

The 54-in. Revolt X is powered by an air-cooled 31-horsepower (23-kilowatt) Kawasaki FX781V EVO EFI power plant. The 61- and 72-in. models are available with either an air-cooled 38.5-HP (28-kW) Kawasaki V-Twin FX1000V EFI engine or an air-cooled 40-HP (30-kW) Vanguard V-Twin EFI engine. The 72-in. models are roughly 120 pounds (54.4 kilograms) heavier than the 54-in. Revolt X.

Bad Boy pairs the engines with dual Hydro-Gear 16-cc pumps and dual Hydro-Gear 18-inch3 (295-cm3) wheel motors. The design includes a cooling fan on the pumps and dual independent 2.5-quart (2.4-liter) hydraulic fluid reservoirs. The company says buyers selecting a Revolt X with the higher-horsepower Kawasaki or Vanguard engine can expect cleaner and cooler operation for improved performance and a longer life expectancy.

    Traction On Any Terrain

Revolt X Customers also have several tire options. The mower comes standard with 23-in. (58-cm) rear tires that incorporate the Reaper tread pattern, which Bad Boy says provides superior traction and stability on hillsides. If your mowing tasks require enhanced traction across several terrain types, Bad Boy says you’ll get the best results from the optional 24-in. (61-cm) Dually Reaper or Michelin X Tweel Turf tires.

Bad Boy says users can expect an “unbelievably smooth ride” from its all-new Revolt X zero-turn stand-on mower thanks to an upgraded operator pad and fender-mounted support steps. (Photo courtesy of Bad Boy.)

    Peak Performance

The Revolt X makes on-the-fly cutting-height adjustments (2 to 5 in.; 5.1 to 12.7 cm) a simple task thanks to a one-touch, hand-operated deck lift-adjustment system. Multiple available speed settings, meanwhile, put excellent agility within your reach when mowing in tight spaces, the company says.

Operators will also appreciate the mower’s upgraded R-Series-style brake, enabling them to “stop on a dime.” A shorter frame and curved I-Beam front fork create a lower center of gravity for the mower, enhancing maneuverability and improving visibility for operators.
